Catch A Glimpse Of Geminid Meteor Shower In India

The Geminid meteor shower of the year can be star gazed by people from anywhere in India on the night of December 13
The meteor shower associated with 3200 Phaethon peaks around second week of December every year
This year it is expected to provide a celestial display, only if clouds and light pollution do not play spoilsport
People can move out of the glare of the city lights to a darker region and get a glimpse of meteor shower
One will not need binoculars or telescope to watch the celestial display
The shower will start at around 10:00 pm, when the Gemini constellation will be visible in the Northeastern sky
However, it is predicted to be at its maximum at around 2am on December 14
The number of meteors this year can reach up to 120 per hour
